Moving Forward. SAE is moving forward. We are now developing collaborative partnerships that address:
- The needs of veterans in both urban and rural communities
- Health care access for populations with special need, such as individuals with serious mental illness and chronic medical conditions.
SAE can address the challenges of providing access to healthcare and treatment retention for co-morbid populations by applying the principles of health literacy to these populations and by developing programs that train professional and peer staff to become patient health navigators.
